Well, Episode 2 of Survivor Fiji is in the books and I must say it was a far better episode than the first one. We got to learn more about Dreamz (I like him and I hope he at least makes it to the jury) and we got a real feel for the Ravu tribe. The episode starts off with Ravu trying to fight off dehydration. I speak from experience, that is the most debilitating thing you can go through on Survivor. It takes what seems like just game and makes it life and death. Then Erica finds Pineapples. Earl says he wants to marry Erica. Can Candice and I come to the wedding? Ha ha ha. Over on Moto Boo gets injury prone and right away Dreamz and others openly plot against him. Look out Boo! You're on a tribe full of haters. I bet next week Boo slips on a pillow and lands on the couch arm and is rushed to the hospital and after explaining to his family and friends how he got eliminated, no one believes that he was on Survivor until this episode airs. Ha ha ha. That's my out of left field prediction. The Challenge was great. Michelle was a beast in the challenge for Ravu. But poor Erica goes from hero to goat when she gets blamed for the loss. Earl gets sent to exile Island and boy is he going to be ticked off when he returns to find his bride-to-be is gone! My favorite part of the episode is something I don't expect many fans to pick up on. As a former player I can really appreciate what Michelle did. Anthony, upset that Rocky put Erica on the chopping block tries to convince others that Sylvia should go. So Michelle sees an opening and acts like she's with Anthony all the way. But when the votes are read, there's only two votes for Sylvia, Erica's and Anthony's. Boy did Michelle put Anthony out there or what? She's strong in the challenges, a very slick strategist, and in position to stir things up when Earl returns. Or she can sell out Anthony to Rocky and his Alliance. She's going to be my favorite player to watch. Over on Moto, half the tribe is laying low so they're not as exciting to watch. There biggest story is Boo's clumsiness. Ravu is much more entertaining and I love gamesmanship of Yau-Man, Earl, Rocky and Michelle. This was a good episode. Kudos to the Produces. They don't get enough credit. They've made many cardboard cutout personalities look interesting in many a Survivor (including a certain cocoanut tree climber) and they make sure to shine the spotlight on the players with the bigger personalities even if they are not going to last long. Can anyone remember a single Cassandra quote thus far? No offense to Cassandra or any of the others, but, though laying low is great for getting far in the game it's murder on the ratings. I'm glad the producers just don't worry about giving everyone equal airtime and just make a fun episode. Maybe someday they'll do a Survivor where they bring back all of the most entertaining players. If so, I'll be there! I'll have my shirt and I love yous ready to go! Ha ha ha.  Speaking of Entertaining, Erica gets the boot. Two blindsides in as many episodes. Sweet! They said that Erica panicked. She said she was being passionate. Whatever she did it was fun to watch. I also love that the producers gave us a glimpse into the other reason she got voted out. Rocky made it sound like she knew the game well and made moves that worried him. He said he could no longer read her. That tells me her moves got stealthy and Rocky wanted to get her before she could take the control away from him. Rocky acted out of respect and fear. I wish I got that edit. Hmph! Anyways, there is a lot of honor in being voted out because they feared your game. Erica can hold her head up high.
Next time on Survivor, Over on Moto, someone busts their @$$! Geez, I wonder who? I hope Ravu wins immunity. If for no other reason than their tribe name sounds like Italian food. I'd like some baked Ravu with garlic bread please. Ha ha ha. My last out of left field prediction, (those are so much more fun than standard predictions) Yau-man finds the hidden immunity Idol without ever having gone to Exile Island. I think that he'll figure it out just from observing other players searching for it like Gary did in Guatemala. Yau-man just looks like he has Shaman abilities. Like that monk at the top of some mountain that people quest to see to ask him a question to which he gives a rhetorical answer to. You know, I suddenly have an urge to see my old friend Cao Boi. Ha ha ha. I'm going to call him right now. Anyways, Yau-man and Michelle are the players to watch. Boo is in peril of getting booted next.
