 Survivor Fiji Wrap Party5/26/07 - Post a comment about this blog ----> Index of all BlogsWell, it took two days for me to recover from the Survivor Fiji after party hosted by Survivor All-stars Jenna and Ethan and After-After party at some club. But I survived it and I’m here to tell you all about it, or at least what I can remember about it. Yikes!  When I arrived, the reunion show had just wrapped. Jenna and Ethan were a bit busy being hosts and overseeing a very strict guess list so I merely said hi to them and hit the bar. The bar is always a good place to start when partying. So, I found Brian from Guatemala and Eliza from Vanuatu at the bar and of course I had to join them. When I went to an open casting call to audition for Survivor Cook Islands and got my turn I blew it, but it was Brian who spoke to me and encouraged me to keep trying and so I stuck around, by some miracle I got a second shot and nailed it. So of course I was very enthusiastic about meeting Brian. It was cool that he remembered. I had lots of fun conversing with Eliza and Brian. Rita was the First of the Fiji cast members to arrive. She was very warm but alas, she could not stay for long. She had her kids with her and a long flight ahead of her. Papa Smurf Gary was the next to appear and boy was his family enthusiastic. They all had custom Papa Smurf Survivor Jerseys and were a lot of fun. Of course I found myself having drinks with fans, Executives, and Producers. Survivor has a lot of Producers so I had a lot of drinks. Oh-oh.
Well at this point Brian, Eliza and I moved away from the bar and right to the entrance. We became the unofficial welcoming committee. I was well intoxicated at this point, mostly thanks to doing shots with Krista from Big Brother 2, a half dozen screwdrivers, and a few beers. The Fiji cast just starting pouring in at this point. I found myself hanging out with Dreamz and Anthony a lot. Dreamz was very down to earth. I love that he was the person we saw on the show. There were a couple of cast members that were not as friendly as they appeared on the show, no names mentioned, ha ha ha. Stacy was a babe. Earl was a gracious winner and very popular among photo seekers. Mookie looked like he started partying before he got there. But that was cool. I can appreciate a party animal.    Just when I was done saying hello to all of the Fiji cast members that came, Yau-Man was a no show, and just when I was about to pick a click of Fiji members to chill with, Stephanie of Palau and Guatemala showed up. Being a fan of hers I couldn’t help but spend some time with her. She was full of so much energy. I was so drunk I must have seemed to be in slow motion compared to her. I managed to spend about a New York minute with Rocky, Michelle, and Erica when the lights came on. Damn! The party’s over.  But not so fast, I stood outside for a moment trying to get my bearings so that I could find my way home when a Survivor player stampede broke lose. Someone found another nearby club to hang out in. I just got caught up in the mass migration and ended up there. We had to show our IDs to get in and damn, Dreamz had no ID. Krista of Big Brother 2 went into a panic. To my sadness, Dreamz did not get in. That’s wrong. The dude working the door said he doesn’t watch Reality TV so he doesn’t know or care who Dreamz is. Well EXCUSE ME! I was about to get in that dude’s grill when I got sucked into the club by a pair of producers before I could say something that would have gotten my @$$ kicked! I was in there for about Five minutes when I realized that I was lost. I didn’t recognize anyone. The club wasn’t that big, I was just that drunk. Another twenty minutes went by before Krista found me. Suddenly, a bunch of faces looked familiar. Hmm! That’s weird.
At some point I ran into one of the producers, I think it was Tom but I might be wrong. I tried to pitch my reason for being brought back into Survivor but all that came out was incoherent babble that sounded like stuttering Pig Latin. I put my beer down somewhere and it was gone. I couldn’t find it. That was my cue to leave. So I did. My body was on auto pilot. It just found its way home. I heard that a half hour after I left there was an after-after-after party back at the hotel but I’m just glad that I found my way home. It took me two days to get over the hangover but I’m fine now and I’ll be in Travers City Michigan the first weekend in June. It’s a Survivor charity event which means More Partying! Woo Who!
