BB USA Updates Summer 2009

BB Lane will have big brother updates available the summer of 2009. See the BB Lane home page at http://www.bblane.com - please vote whether this will be something you'd want.

We are intending on keeping the forums inactive, but still open for archive reading. Please vote in the poll as to whether you'd like to see the forums re-open.

The time has come to archive BB Lane. Thanks to everyone who came here to share in our love for reality tv, especially Big Brother! The forums are all read-only now except for the admins. Thanks so much to all the mods who literally ran this place. I couldn't have done it alone! We were a fabulous team...

Mike Boogie and Dr. Will Host Man News for MavTV

MavTV launches a brand new series of webisodes starring Mike "Boogie" and Dr. Will of Big Brother fame. MavTV is a cable TV network targeting adult men with irreverent content that speaks to guys like they speak to each other. The new webisode series, Man News, features real, unusual news stories with commentary from two "regular guys", Mike "Boogie" Malin and Dr. Will Kirby of Big Brother fame. Mike and Will also offer advice to guys on a variety of topics in a "male mail" segment, and offer their own "rules to live by" for men. Featured on the program with Mike "Boogie" and Dr. Will are a variety of beautiful bikini models, who are a welcome addition to the Man News diary room.

Beginning July 5th 2007, MavTV will feature a new episode every week on their web site, http://www.mavtv.com/pages/public_mavmanne ws.asp. The web episodes run just over five minutes each and feature three segments, each hosted by Mike Boogie and Dr. Will. Everyone who saw Mike and Will in the diary room on Big Brother knows how funny these guys are together. Mike and Will are the prototypical "MavMen" and we’re excited they
agreed to host our flagship website Man News program, says Rob Stevens, Vice President of Programming for MavTV.

Will Kirby has appeared on two seasons of Big Brother, winning the reality TV show contest in his first season. Mike Malin has also appeared on two seasons of Big Brother, winning its most recent season, the "All Stars" season seven. The first episodes of the Man News series were filmed at Dolce Enoteca e Ristorante in Hollywood, one of the most successful restaurants owned by Mike Malin.

Man News was written, produced and directed by Eric Mittleman, who helped launch "The Fishbowl" and was co-writer and producer of the first movie starring reality TV celebrities, The Scorned. Also involved in writing and producing Man News for MavTV was reality TV star, Rob Cesternino, of "Survivor" fame.



Mav’rick Entertainment Network’s "MavTV" is a 24-hour cable and satellite television network targeting the male demographic. MavTV covers the topics men care about most: Sports, Gadgets, Women, Comedy, and Gaming. Launched on October 1, 2004, independently owned and operated, MavTV is available in over 45 TV markets across the U.S. Additionally, MavTV is available on mobile phones around the world and on the web.

"What is a GAP?" you might ask... Well, it's a Graphic Arts Parody! Create posters or banners that parody Big Brother and the House Guests! You could be the winner of BB Lane GAP's - create your finest Graphic Arts Parody that is Big Brother related. The best parody poster or banner will be picked among entries submitted in this forum.

Submission accepted from now through September 1, 2007. Winners will be announced the night of the BB Finale.

We will have three winners:

  • 3rd Place

NOTE: You must be a member of the BB Lane forums to submit entries.

HOW TO SUBMIT:
  1. Start a topic in the BB Lane GAPs Forum (click here) and choose "Manage Files" and upload your graphic.
  2. Files must have the extension of jpg, png, or gif
  3. Files must be 500kb or less
  4. Images width must be 600 or less
  5. Submit as many entries as you want!
